JVC BN-VG121 3.6V Data Battery, 2100mAh,JVC
The JVC BN-VG121 Data Battery (3.6V, 2100mAh) is designed as a spare or replacement battery for HD and Standard Everio camcorders. This battery provides remaining battery power on your Everio's LCD screen so you're never caught off guard by a loss of power. The BN-VG121 can power hard drive HD Everio models for up to 2 hours and 5 minutes and other HD Everio models up to 2 hours and 40 minutes. Standard Everio hard drive models can be powered up to 3 hours and 50 minutes, while Memory models can be powered by the Data Battery up to 4 hours and 40 minutes.

These are JVC BN-VG121 3.6V Data Battery Technical Details
*Li-Ion
*2100mAh/3.6V
*Replacement battery for HD and standard Everio camcorders
*Displays remaining battery life on LCD

These heavier duty video camera batteries are very expensive, far more than I wanted to pay for one. I found this one at Amazon.com for half the regular manufacturer's price. Yes, we've all heard the horror stories about cheap batteries burning up, but I've used them in my cameras for years and never had a problem. I don't believe Amazon would allow inferior merchandise to be sold through their website, and I was pleased with the guarantee they give, so I bought this one. I used it, recently, to record a Mud Bogging event and it gave me no problems.

I recommend you to buy JVC BN-VG121 3.6V Data Battery from Amazon.com. CLICK HERE !!

I am glad I invested in this battery as it does have a longer life than the one that came with the camera and always had the other as a backup, but didn't need it as it was good for the amount of time needed to video.

I was asked to photograph a wedding from getting ready (hair dresser at 0830, until the end of the reception at 11:30pm) The NP-QM91D held strong. I did not constantly video tape, but with my digital recorder I had 6 sony 120 tapes (60 min digital) -- 5 were captured using the NP-QM91D. I did switch some of the tapes before they were completely used to make sure I didn't miss important events ... so I never actually used up "all" of the NP-QM91D battery.

This battery was used again during the evacuation from Houston (secondary to Hurricane Rita) -- I used it entirely and it did not faulter ... it lasted throughout the trip and I had no need to change to the smaller batteries.

The size of the NP-QM91D battery did not really bother me -- I was aware that it would be larger than the others and it did not hamper the use of the camera.

Read the manufacturer information on battery life, charging time etc ... for this battery it is valid.

I would recommend this battery. Buy at safe site here.

Panasonic VW-VBG260 Review

Posted by Unknown on Sunday, April 24, 2011 | 10:56 PM

Panasonic VW-VBG260
This is a great accessory for those who plan to film a lot or go to frequents travels with a camcorder because in those situations the included battery will not last long enough. For all the mentioned models in the product description (plus some others that I will mention at the end) you do NOT need the optional Battery Pack Holder Kit VW-VH04. In continues recording using Time-Lapse Mode you get close to 5 hours out of it (LCD closed), and in regular recording modes, like filming the Sunset on a tripod you get close to 4 hours, in a conventional recording situations when you turn ON and OFF the camcorder, Zoom IN and OUT a lot of times and having the LCD open you may not get the full 3 hours but it gets very close.

To me this is a MUST HAVE item and i recommend you to buy Panasonic VW-VBG260 from this site.

Sony NPF970 L Series DCRVX2100 HDRFX1 HDRFX7 HD1000 HVRZ1U

Posted by Unknown on Saturday, April 23, 2011 | 8:14 PM

Sony NPF970 L Series
Sony NPF970 L Series is the best battery for your Sony Camcorder. 3rd party batteries are less expensive but the quality and reliability is just not up to par. Don't gamble on a less expensive battery for your camera.

If you need to be out all day, this works, 300 plus minutes of recording time (without LCD). I still got several hours with the LCD, backlight on.

For when you are out all day, this is a good long lasting battery.

On the HDR-FX1 I found it preferable to the smaller and lighter battery as it helped provide a touch extra rear weighting. That helped balance when using the camcorder at hip height for me. I can't say I noticed the extra weight as an issue when using at shoulder height, though I didn't have it on my shoulder for long periods at a time. This bad boy is worth every penny. You can film ALL DAY without even looking at the battery life indicator. I recommend you to buy this Sony NPF970 L Series battery from this site!

Canon BP-819 for HF10 HF100 HF S HF M Camcorders

Canon BP-819
Canon BP-819 for HF10 HF100 HF S HF M Camcorders is the natural choice to make. This is the battery that should come with your video camera by default.

What do you do if you want to record events that last longer than 1.5 hours ? You upgrade the battery, right. The BP-827 (4.5h) is not easy available yet everywhere so the Canon BP-819 for HF10 HF100 HF S HF M Camcorders becomes the only choice.

It can last close to 3h and that's enough to capture most events. (Fireworks, school event of your kid, concerts, theatre etc.). With the external charger the battery is charged in roughly the same time (3h) with the cameras included charger its taking 4h.

This Canon BP-819 for HF10 HF100 HF S HF M Camcorders is also the best investment you can make for your HF-100. Whereas the default battery lasts under an hour, this one lasts easily over two hours with very little extra weight. It is a little larger but I find the larger size actually helps me stabilize while using the camera by placing my thumb under the battery. So, i would recommend you to buy the original one from this site.
