Canon BG-E8 for Canon T2i DSLR

It would be nice if Canon BG-E8 for Canon T2i DSLR had a few extra buttons on it but it has the main ones that I need to use available so that's just fine. I was tempted to go with an after-market brand unit but I decided seeing as I do use my camera a LOT it would be a smarter idea to go with a brand name unit.

I've had my unit attached to my camera for almost a year now and have loved it ever since. I enjoy being able to pop in "AA" batteries when I have killed my other 2 Canon lithium cells that I typically keep in the grip. I do a lot of portrait work and this helps to make it less awkward to handle the camera. Not to mention that the camera looks bigger to the client and makes them feel like it's something big and impacting to the photos I'm taking. Little do they know I am using the cheapest option that I was willing to settle for to do work that I would much rather have a 50D MkII for, lol.

All in all, the added power allows me to not have to worry about running out of power at weddings, balls, dances, games, whatever... Some events I can end up with 900 or better shots, that's a heck of a lot of shots and before I had the grip it would always end up that I would run out of power at just the wrong time! Now that's no longer an issue.

Most people don't really need a grip and probably shouldn't bother with it. I don't come across too many that take 900-1300 shots on a given day, with a T2i, lol. So unless you know that you need that constant insurance of extra power to go the distance don't bother with the expense. Canon BG-E8 for Canon T2i DSLR is a must have accessory regardless of hand size, and i recommend you to buy from this site.

Zeikos ZE-NBG300 for Nikon D300 D700

Let me start by saying that the Zeikos ZE-NBG300 grip is well worth its price. It is built well enough to handle most things thrown at it. If you plan on using this with smaller, lighter lenses, then it'll be perfect. I was using primes when I first started using the Zeikos grip on my D300s.

But then I started shooting sports (tennis and basketball) which require shooting vertically most of the time, putting more stress on the plastic Zeikos unit. I also bought the Sigma 70-200 f/2.8 EX DG HSM II lens, which added even more weight and stress. The Zeikos ZE-NBG300 grip is still working, but it now creaks and I can feel it flexing in my hands when I'm shooting.

The only incompatibility issue I've had with my grip is when the batteries are very low, the camera will stop shooting. After unscrewing and reinstalling the grip, I can shoot another 100-200 frames before the batteries truly die. I would recommend you to buy Zeikos ZE-NBG300 from this site.

One thing to keep in mind is that while cosmetically it matches the D700 (and D300's) body, the construction is plastic. The plastic body doesn't feel that cheap (maybe a little compared to the D700's body) but it would be notably less durable than the camera it is attached to. If you drop your expensive D700 or D300 your camera will probably just fine, although it'll be very possible to crack the grip.

If you want something as durable as the camera its self, save up and buy the more expensive Nikon grip. Otherwise, in my experience, you can't go wrong with this grip. Use some of the money you saved for an EN-EL4a so you can get the improved FPS.

Something to keep in mind is that if you put another EN-EL3e battery in this grip (the standard battery that the D700 uses) you will NOT get the improved 8 fps. You will need to use a EN-EL4a or AA batteries (AA battery tray is included). If you buy rechargeable batteries, be sure you get decent enough ones that will be powerful enough for the increase in FPS. Rechargeable batteries with lower-than-alkaline voltage output may not reach the required voltage output to do this.

I was asked to photograph a wedding from getting ready (hair dresser at 0830, until the end of the reception at 11:30pm) The NP-QM91D held strong. I did not constantly video tape, but with my digital recorder I had 6 sony 120 tapes (60 min digital) -- 5 were captured using the NP-QM91D. I did switch some of the tapes before they were completely used to make sure I didn't miss important events ... so I never actually used up "all" of the NP-QM91D battery.

This battery was used again during the evacuation from Houston (secondary to Hurricane Rita) -- I used it entirely and it did not faulter ... it lasted throughout the trip and I had no need to change to the smaller batteries.

The size of the NP-QM91D battery did not really bother me -- I was aware that it would be larger than the others and it did not hamper the use of the camera.

Read the manufacturer information on battery life, charging time etc ... for this battery it is valid.

Panasonic VW-VBG260 Review

This is a great accessory for those who plan to film a lot or go to frequents travels with a camcorder because in those situations the included battery will not last long enough. For all the mentioned models in the product description (plus some others that I will mention at the end) you do NOT need the optional Battery Pack Holder Kit VW-VH04. In continues recording using Time-Lapse Mode you get close to 5 hours out of it (LCD closed), and in regular recording modes, like filming the Sunset on a tripod you get close to 4 hours, in a conventional recording situations when you turn ON and OFF the camcorder, Zoom IN and OUT a lot of times and having the LCD open you may not get the full 3 hours but it gets very close.

To me this is a MUST HAVE item and i recommend you to buy Panasonic VW-VBG260 from this site.

Canon CB-2LX for Canon NB-5L

This Canon CB-2LX for Canon NB-5L is a well made battery charger and very easy to use. No long cord with a plug. It plugs right into the electric socket. Handy to carry with you. Great that you can have spare power to boot. It charges the battery very quick and it can be tucked into any pocket when done.

Exactly the charger that came with the camera. If you lost your charger that came with the camera, this Canon CB-2LX is exactly the same one. I looked for cheaper versions at Best Buy and other stores, but those chargers were all so much larger in size. This Cannon charger is so compact that it is easy to keep with the camera, and it seems to charge faster than the cheaper brands as well. Even when you leave the charger behind in a hotel room, it's great to know you can buy a replacement at a reasonable price.

Nikon EN-EL15 for Nikon D7000 DSLR

Nikon EN-EL15 for Nikon D7000 DSLR is a battery so there's not too much to say, although this battery has enormous performance gains over the D90's EN-EL3e, I'm rockin' two of these suckers in my D7000 and I don't know when I'll actually need to charge them again since they've barely gone down at all after a week of heavy usage.

As each new camera comes out Nikon is updating the capacity of their battery hence the increase in price. One battery will last well over 900+ shots (not using flash of course). Though its just good measure to have a back up battery for peace of mind and if you are using the MB-D11 grip which too is kind of costly as well.

I take a lot of photos and never want to be without power. This Nikon EN-EL15 for Nikon D7000 DSLR proprietary battery lasts a long time and charges very quickly.
